Sure. Then if it's not material it's pretty much irrelevant. Under securities laws:

"material if there is a substantial likelihood that a reasonable shareholder would consider it important in deciding how to vote their shares or invest their money".

If Microsoft were secretly devoting huge resources to "Glassware 2.0" behind the scenes and were about to do some major push, would a "reasonable shareholder" (an oxymoron in ANY's case IMHO) consider it important? I certainly would as a long, short, or prospective long or short.

Can't have it both ways.

Feels more like speculative hooey and hope to me.
