I just have a difficult time believing that millions of years of evolution would result in the brain producing a protein that causes AD.
Except in rare cases, the onset of AD comes well past the age where people are likely to procreate, so I’m not sure an evolution-based argument against amyloid beta is on solid ground.
Regardless, I genuinely appreciate the discussion on this topic you brought to the board. We may know in a few years whether you’re correct.
