First of all I want to apologize to the board for taking up so much bandwidth on this subject and I promise this is the last post from me on this subject for today.

The lead role in CDMA (all forms, including wCDMA) belongs to QCOM. Other major players in GSM and anything which evolves from the GSM side of the fence (and, to a lesser extent, wCDMA) include MOT, NOK, ERICY and Siemens.

I find it rather odd that QCOM is not presently making any base station chips for WCDMA, but I digress...
