Warp Drive Bio—“That solves what many people believe is the largest single problem in drug discovery, and that is the vast majority of human targets are untouchable by small molecules,” [CSO] Verdine said. “They are untouchable because the proteins lack a surface feature called a pocket required for molecules to nestle themselves into. Only 10 percent of human proteins have a pocket, and if it doesn’t have a pocket, it’s undruggable.”
Warp Drive's researchers discovered a method where the molecule uses other proteins in the cell to change shape, creating more surface area to attach to the flat protein. They subsequently reverse-engineered this process to get drugs inside flat proteins, a process they have called Small Molecule-Assisted Receptor Targeting (SMART).
More lofty claims!
Compared to Wave and Warp Drive, ENTA would seem to be pretty simple :- )
“The efficient-market hypothesis may be the foremost piece of B.S. ever promulgated in any area of human knowledge!”
