Buy and hold for what? For the stock to be cancelled? That will just result in expensive wallpaper, because that is what is going to happen here. The Company has said it multiple times as a warning that the common stock will be worthless.

The Company is bankrupt, and their debt is hundreds of millions of dollars greater than the value of their assets. That leaves nothing for common shareholders. Not a cent. That is how things work in these situations. Sometimes common shareholders get wiped out. And Quiksilver's common shareholders will get wiped out and be left with nothing.
