That's the issue with these special funds. They have to fit your investment style or that of some portion of your portfolio. It kind of fills the niche of the real return crowd. His expected returns curve would be heavily tilted to the 5-10% range. Either higher or lower returns are far less likely. Someone who has a lot of risk aversion, but wants to try for better returns than fixed income might fill a niche in their portfolio with his fund IMHO.
