An S-1 from a cannabis company is never approved by the SEC. After filing, it usually takes 6-9 months of comment period before the SEC MAY get tired of the hassle and will let it go effective by default. They NEVER approve an S-1 by a cannabis company outright. I've worked with several cannabis companies where it took over a year to get an S-1 finally effective, if at all.
