Geography 101: Chicago is located in the state of Illinois and Illinois is surrounded by states with lenient gun laws and there's something called an automobile that allows for transportation from state to state, including into/out of Chicago. States north of VA have strict gun laws while VA is still beholding to the NRA, so but guess what? Since I-95 goes up/down the East coast, it's easy for someone in VA to supply Wash DC, NJ, NY and MA with guns - and they do.
What's the answer? - national gun control laws.
