Apologize to Bluebirth, in rush mistook him for one of these lovely shorts asking why Glassware is not mentioned everywhere especially prior to Azure etc.

There are multiple virtualisation methods out there including two types of containers that a new version of Docker Engine will support in Windows Server: the so-called “Windows Server Containers” (effectively Docker for Windows), and a second form called Hyper-V Containers.

However, still based on the Docker engine, while Glassware 2.0 is the ONLY Windows based application container solution...

Just because a Docker Engine will be able to run on a Windows Server doesnt make it Windows based, as an analogy, just because a bike is on a road doesnt make it a car. Still a bike.
