Bill Clinton is defending his wife Hillary Clinton by saying her recent comments on the former first family’s wealth were taken out of context by news outlets.
The former president has criticized interviews with ABC News and The Guardian, which reported that Hillary Clinton said she and her husband were “unlike the truly well off” because the Clintons “pay ordinary income tax.”
The former secretary of state and senator also told The Guardian that their wealth came “through the dint of hard work.” Clinton allies have taken exception to the Guardian story, arguing the newspaper didn’t include statements Hillary Clinton made about she and the former president were “blessed.”
Clinton said, "With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they’d go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?
Yep, a real piece of work this Clinton is....
