WAYYY OT: may I respectfuly recommend you check out a local Greyhound Rescue group? I've been a fan of these guys for over 20 years, the last 10 of which I've had them as companions.
They're amazing LOW maintenance, and low effort. They're sprinters, and only need a nice brisk walk (and a nice fenced yard) for excercise. As a breed, they have VERY few inherant health issues, and, on average, live 12-14 years. Feel free to PM if you want to know more :)
