The bid is meaningless. Most of it is a fake bid from the death spirals who know retail isn't going to sell at $.0002 for a loss.

The bulk of the ask is hidden. Once retail makes a buy, they feed a little more out. They know the mice will get scared away if they suddenly see a feast. So they play them very slowly.

Competing is intense among humans, and within a group, selfish individuals always win. But in contests between groups, groups of altruists always beat groups of selfish individuals.
