No "trusted associate" ever told me the work with USAMRIID was sure to result in a completely successful test of a viricide against Ebola.

Besides, these people are not experts on viruses, but they have done scale up work on other pharmaceutical molecules.

It was generally expected that the viricides producing the best results would be used to create another generation. But when the Ebola emergency cooled off that no longer seemed to be an urgent thing to do.

So, EbolaCide is not dead. It's in the background now. I'll bet some worthwhile things were learned from the tests.

The only "failure" I see was the failure of some over-confident expectations. And, yes, I did think that one of the viricides might work extremely well, but I didn't count on it.

I'm glad they did the work on Ebola. I doubt that the story is over, but expect nothing new for awhile, and would be surprised to learn that there is active pursuit of EbolaCide right now.
