This is why short selling should not be allowed. It is fine in principle if it represents an individual espousing a negative judgment, but so often, most often it turns into an attempt at gang tactics. Should not be allowed unless it can be properly supervised, and that does not seem possible today when there are manpower deficiencies and even perhaps a lack of will to regulate.
