Here is where I do not agree:

They can call it a successful demonstration with required action.

The demonstration is used for different reasons. If it was a new model of aircraft, or a new modification of the aircraft, the intent would be to ensure the aircraft design was acceptable. In this case, it is used to ensure that the crew knows what they are doing and that proper maintenance has been performed.

The rumor is that the crew performed well and that maintenance was fine...other than one regulated item that could not be inspected by BLTA maintenance personnel.

It's up to the FAA to make the decision of a pass or fail. It has not been decided yet.
