"Kudlow called this 2nd qter. Correct?"
=====================================
yayaa,
And for once, he was right!
It WAS , in fact, the second quarter.
However, I don't have a clue as to how close he came to guessing the correct year...... <gg>
Do you remember the movie, "Americathon" from the late seventies?
It was co-written by an LA friend of mine from the hilarious Firesign Theater Group and was a truly funny flick at the time. I bet it still is. It was set in a period of time where the Jews and the Arabs had joined hands in peace and called their country the Heb-Rab Republic and they all wore the traditional black suits and hats of the particular Jewish sect (who's name escapes me at the moment) that does so today.
I wonder if Blockbuster has, or can get it? Hmmmm!
John Ritter , Meatloaf, Harvey Korman, Fred Willard and narrated by George Carlin were some of the name players.
In the movie, America was so far in debt to some American Indian Chief (who had loaned the Gov't mucho bux) that the Gov't had to resort to putting on a 30 day telathon to auction off as much of our country as was needed to get out of debt.
That was the movie where Meatloaf, as one of the telethon acts, literally destroyed a Camaro with an axe. One might have forgotten the name of the movie, but that scene was pretty unforgettable.
Anyway, the point I seem to be having so much trouble getting to is that when I first saw the movie I never imagined that in my wildest dreams of the possibility that this movie could ever become one of those storied "life imitates art" situations.
While it prolly won't happen under AG's lead, it would, imo, become a real life re-run of the movie if Kudlow ever got ahold of the country's check book.
