They are being forced by Icahn to disgorge some of the excess cash. That is a clear indication that they have more cash than they know what to do with (in other words, there's a pile of cash but not much of a business here).
If they don't disgorge the excess cash someone would buy them at a discount with their own cash.
If I could afford to buy all of them, I would not need to buy any of them and I sure wouldn't be spending time on the message boards!
