North, Over the past two years, I've voiced similar sentiment about DNA and Insmed, but still go back and forth. The early court transcripts for Summers and Geoff Allan contain the information that DNA tried to buy Celtrix in the late 90's, but Summers chose to partner with Insmed. And, DNA asked Insmed to take over DNA's compassionate care IGF program to which Insmed replied, we are working with Pharmacia. So, I can't help but wonder if there isn't animosity between the companies which extends way back to the days when Ross Clark and Sommers were competing to clone IGFBP3 and file for patents.

It certainly has been one of the more interesting and entertaining drug development stories in biotech.
