It sounds like Greece doesn't want to leave the EU but also doesn't want to pay back debt - like having their cake and eating it too. Whatever agreement is reached with the 18 other nations, their parliaments will have to approve and I can't see Germany (especially) forgiving all of Greece's debt, sending a message to other nations on the edge they too can do that. But perhaps it won't come to that...

Greece's maverick finance minister, Yanis Yaroufakis, announced his resignation on his blog Monday morning, and suggested Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras asked him to step aside to help appease European officials who had grown weary of his lecturers about the destructive impact of austerity.

After all his bluster, it sounds like PM Tsipras may be prepared to accept some austerity.
