I emailed Monika Alvater for clarification regarding the certification in Saudi Arabia. She forwarded my email to Farid's email address at Apollo Metro Solutions and he replied as Chairman & Executive Vice President of Apollo. This is very good news. I know Farid has been terrible with providing timetables of completing work but you must admit that nothing regarding Viper's relation to Apollo and the general work being done has been a lie.
His answer to my question was that the certification in Saudi Arabia is mandatory for anyone wanting to place bids to work in the country whether it is for the government or for private contractors. The announcement had nothing to do with a pilot program but is the first step as the country is eager to install LED street lights with smart city capabilities. Apollo Metro and Viper are very interested in placing bids to the government as well as working with private contractors who do not require bids.
