Wait a minute now. If this thread straightens up I won't have any reason to carry my laptop to the head so I'll have something entertaining to read while taking care of business.

This was pm'ed to me by a good friend recently and I thought worth posting on this thread. FWIW

"People that talk tough with their keyboards are a constant source of amusement to me. People will say extremely offensive things to one another on a message board that they would never dream of saying if they were standing next to the person in the check out line at the supermarket. The most reserved people can become hair-triggered confrontationalists when seated safely behind the insulating anonymity of their aliases. This chat or message board phenomenon is just like road rage, where the relative safety of the vehicle injects otherwise decent people with bizarre dosages of courage and ugliness.

I have come to understand that indeed the higher road is to refrain from attacking, and to not speak (type?) if only mean things are going to spill out. The thoughts are still there, but soon they too will diminish."
