...S3D could do the job and more efficiently via GW...but I am inclined to believe it is not S3D's focus...at the moment...ANY is hooking even bigger fish. With that said, at ANYtime, MSFT could chose to use the GW solution, which is not you father's "emulation"...MSFT would be much better off scrapping their current effort and adopting GW platform...but MSFT likely knows that...now 
ps. "Glassware-on-a-Chip"...is more earth shattering and disruptive...the XBOX solution via GW is already there for the taking by MSFT.
