Thank you for joining us here. Fabulous first post. You are going to to quite an asset. I have visions of learning a lot more about the ins and outs of college football politics thanks to you and NLionGuy. Colt teaches me how to be a good sport. Marvelous educational opportunities.

NLionGuy is far better qualified to answer your post, but I having a big mouth will throw out my gut reactions...

A) I am a semi-rabid Hokie fan thanks to my beloved niece's affiliation with your alma mater. The Wolverines will always be #1 for me. <g>

B) I read through the blurbs and your posted article... I think VT should go for the ACC... The discrepancy among the talent in the Big East is too wide. VT is not being challenged enough... they could go much farther with stiffer competition. The ACC would make them a stronger school.

As far as academics go... you folks are top notch. Why not reap the benefits of being in a stronger football conference as well.

JMO...

NLionGuy will have a far more informed POV plus which he is able to look at the ramifications for teams in other conferences, i.e. the Big Ten. I look forward to your exchanges.
