Hi dipsey, looks great and sounds about as right as we can conclude. A few things of note; it appears (at least to me) that these houses take turns in a leadership role. It may be that whoever at that given time has the largest available bankroll, but in general UBS or GS are usually near the top at #1 or #2 positions, but not always. This week we see LEH #1. Next, I am of the belief that the Fed plays a significant role in this activity through its Temp Ops Repos (Redemptions). Without getting too specific, it is my understanding that the Fed puts up an extraordinary amount of cash which in turn these brokerages buy into a portion which they then lend out and so on so forth down the line. This is part of the derivatives game you probably have seen discussed here before. Last but not least when charting if you have a real-time quote or something close to it (1-5min delay) you can see the tick spike to +1000 or more at specific intervals as you mentioned having seen in the 5min charts. The Tick is an easy way to really see this action coincide with the chart movement on specific indices. I think you have about as good or better understanding of what it is that is taking place as I do, but I just wanted to touch on those few items...
