3D Systems (DDD +3.4%) has spiked higher on an unconfirmed rumor it has hired Goldman to advise on a GE bid in the $30-$34/share range.Many such rumors wind up eventually being shot down. And a huge short interest arguably makes 3D particularly susceptible to moving on one: 37.2M shares (35% of the float) were shorted as of April 30.
