I had some problems with stupid Ameritrade, and got "stuck" in some trades. It gave me some twiddling my thumbs time. I've set up an account at Interactive Brokers. Yesterday was the first day I traded it, and did a very nice 1.08% thank you very much. Still learning the ropes on the IB interface. Their data feed seems to be a lot better than Ameritrades. I'm able to see stuff that never made the radar at Ameritrade as to what the real trading is going on in a stock. Need to get my second computer fired back up. I'm considering getting a 17 inch flat panel for it.

The last few months really have been tough and an education if you've been trying to apply much in the way of fundamentals to the markets. It's pretty much been TA all the way. Watching the data feeds I can't believe the difference. I'm still running QuoteTracker with the Ameritrade data feed and then TraderWorkstation with the IB feed. There's just no comparison. Ameritrade sucks for daytrading. 75% of the trade data in a busy stock like MSFT never shows up on Ameritrade. It was showing 100x100 where IB had like 50x240. Then Ameritrade was like 68x100 where IB had swung over to like 160x40. Even in a fairly "slow" trading stock like GE Ameritrade isn't keeping up with the trading action IB is showing. I think I'm going to really like IB.
