Agreed. Technically those should affect the EPS calculations in the interim. I wonder if they mean that they will exclude them in their own EPS calculation since they will be returned to the company? We should add that to the CC questions.

For everyone's reference:
[...]however in the interim, they will be counted in the total issued and outstanding shares (covering both basic and diluted counts) of the Company, but they will not affect the proceeds from EPS of the Company because any dividend paid and earnings derived from these shares in the interim will revert to the Company, and not the third parties.
