That change in your code sounds good. I also made changes in my setup. I cancelled quote.com (a lousy service) and changed my program code to take advantage of the 100 simulataneous symbols offered by IB. Since I need at least one future symbol to be able to trade and the same one for my charting program I am left with only 98 symbols for the breath charts. One of them is the index itself so I am doing the calculations for 97 symbols only. So far it looks almost the same as the full 100 symbols, the difference is very small. On the other hand the updating is done very fast. Still have work to do when the internet connection fails. It can take a while before it recovers and I will have a big hole in my data. It can be handled but I don't have the code yet.

About the market. I don't know what else the market wants to rally. The daily chart made a bottom, the hourly chart just did the same. So why aren't we rallying? Well, there's always tomorrow.
