We have a border collie and she is such a special dog we'll never have another after she passes. She is so smart, so loyal, so obedient and has learned to be my lap dog occasionally (even thought it's completely against her nature she wants to please).

She was a rescue as well and, even though my husband and I have had dogs all our lives, we've never had a better companion.
