So now Shrub is trying to compare himself to Truman. Last I checked Truman was a Democrat wasn't he?... Hear that Rooster? Your hero Shrub Bush trying to compare himself to a Democratic President. Kinda like Quayle trying to compare himself to Jack Kennedy. To paraphrase the late, great Texas politician and public servant Lloyd Bentsen, my father might say... "I knew Harry Truman, and Mr. Bush... you are no Harry Truman!"

Of course one would have to go back a long, long time to find another Republican President other than his daddy that led the US in a time of war... like all the way back to Lincoln to find one that led the Country in a "worthwhile" cause I think. Nothing like this worthless "adventure" to Iraq for sure. Bin Laden is still free and the Taliban are gaining strength while our fine young American armed forces are being spread thinner and worked harder... for what?

A student of history "might" conclude that Republicans just don't have either the backbone or the wisdom to lead this great Country in an heroic, worthwhile cause. I look forward to the day that the electorate comes to realize this fact.
