Yes, you're right. Any company can force shorts to cover, or avoid having its stock shorted in the first place, simply by running a solid business.

So if Reid really does believe there's huge short interest, what he needs to do is release all that wonderful information about the company he's been promising to release for more than two and a half years.

But for some reason he chooses not to do so. And there isn't a giant short position, anyway.
