Executive Pay Falls at Boston Beer -- Market Talk

9:19 EDT - Boston Beer (SAM) founder and chairman James Koch's total compensation fell nearly 8% to $917,847 2014 because he only met about 70% of bonus goals, according to an SEC filing. SAM CEO Martin Roper's pay fell 20% to $1.2M because he met about 52.5% of performance goals. The company fell short of its depletion growth goal of 16%-20%, achieving just 8%-12%. The company's stock rose more than 45% in 2014, but has given up some of those gains to start this year. It closed on Tuesday at $262.99. (tripp.mickle@wsj.com)
