"Hardly" only if you think there's no consequence to killing the notion that NNVC can crank out a new 'cide simply by attaching the appropriate ligand to a micelle -- the whole basis of the platform claim, and the main thing that NNVC hoped to prove when they jumped into the Ebola crash program. What we see is that for each viral disease it's a very hit or miss affair as to whether a 'cide will be successful, and with lots of tweaking after you have something that sort of works. Pretty much like in any other drug development. Certainly there is not to date any evidence that NNVC is super speedy in preclinical drug development, despite their pretensions to the contrary.

BTW, does anybody know whether Ebolacide2 worked even slightly better than Ebolacide1? I can't tell from the PR.
