The competition is not really TURP, it is a microwave ablation procedure. Two years ago, I tried to persuade my urologist to try the PVP (he was using mostly microwave), he was not impressed. I saw him few weeks back, and now his MW unit is mothballed. He is doing about 40 procedures per year.
