Vivitrol for alcohol addiction will be priced at $695 per monthly injection. Hence, if someone stayed on the drug for a year, the cost before reimbursement would come to a whopping $8,340.

Despite the high price, ALKS issued guidance for sales of only $35-45M by 3/31/07 (the end of ALKS’ FY), reinforcing my oft-stated comments that Vivitrol is likely to be a commercial dog.
