types of stock promotion

There are a few types of stock promotion.

There is the paid tout such as Westergaard. He received 48K cash a year and more for conferences, radio programs.

There is the tout paid in shares such as CCE now Madison and Wall. They received over 450K worth of astn shares for their touting.

There is the pay for performance tout. They received money/shares based on their success at raising the stock price/volume. Sometimes they will tout ten companies and receive the stock of another company for compensation. Someone just posted about one such touter on otcbb scams.

Then there is the independent tout, pump and dumper. He isn't paid by the company in any way. He works for his own account. He buys shares of a small company cheap then touts it on all the goldenlists, penny flipper boards. Then he sells for a profit and leaves and goes onto the next stock. When it goes back down he sometimes comes back and plays it again and again.

I never said you were a paid tout, matt. I don't think companies were paying a 15 year old kid to tout their stocks. I personally feel you were doing it for your own account independently. Doesn't matter who pays you, the company or the stock. Still stock promoting in my eyes.
