tanj, for every dollar that goes to WMILT the following breakdown .75 goes to both former WaMu WAMPQ/WAMKQ preferred and .25 goes to former WaMu common shares.
With this formula, I believe it takes around 11 billion or so to pay preferred face value with around 2.7 to three billion of the eight billion going to common shares.
Former WaMu preferred WAMPQ there were three million issued with a face value of $1,000.00
Former WaMu preferred WAMKQ there were 20 million issued with face value of $25.00
Former WaMu common shares there were originally 1.7 billion outstanding shares with about 1.2 billion who released and of course common had no face value. This would be roughly around 2.50 per common share or so.
I am not sure on the exact numbers for preferred that released. However, most of these did release so this will be fairly close in any event.
