Looks like Oracle may not have a very easy time of it in its pursuit of PSFT.

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Connecticut officials said Wednesday the state plans to file an antitrust lawsuit against Oracle to block its hostile acquisition attempt of rival software company PeopleSoft.
...."This is trouble for Oracle," said Hillard Sterling, an antitrust lawyer in Chicago, who closely followed Microsoft's court battle. "These lawsuits are almost impossible to shed quickly. The Microsoft experience shows the importance and relevance of these state enforcement actions. There will be significant hurdles for the states to show illegal conduct. But the suit will be distracting and burdensome for Oracle."

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Moody's Investors Service said Wednesday it's considering cutting software giant Oracle's unsecured rating in the wake of the company's raised bid for PeopleSoft.
...Moody's said the rating would face downward pressure "to the extent that Oracle further increases its tender offer price to complete the transaction, with the resulting impact on liquidity, and following completion of the acquisition, expense reduction does not sufficiently offset expected revenue loss at PeopleSoft.
