The PE of the S & P is about 40 (ttm) and it will be about 9 when this is all over, but we are only slightly overvalued (like about 78.8%).

Just watch next winter. Guys will be saying to each other at lunchcounters all over America, "The PE was over 40 and we were buying stocks? What the hell were we thinking of?"
