Simple. It's because the majority of investors/traders prefer two-way communications (i.e., CC, SHM) over one-way communications (i.e., PRs). In a CC you can ask several questions related to the same topic (e.g., business development, reorganization) as opposed to interpreting it from a PR and potentially having to call IR for clarifications. Besides, you can always wait for the next 8-K or 10-Q/10-K to confirm any deals from the company.

It does seem odd that no one wants any of these amazing new deals to be PR'd by the company. Very strange.
