OK, that is your position, but I would still choose a 'delete' option if it would bring the price down to $1049 or so, for all the reasons I mentioned.
And if I am in the narrow minority on this (I have no idea, but at least dilleet is in the same camp), at some point it makes no sense for Apple to make it optional, it should be included to reduce inventory. I still see a DVD burner as something that not all people use on all computers. And yes, you can certainly make the same argument for the iSight.
