After only having white iPods, when black ones were released, they were the best sellers. Apple is simply trying to do that with the iBooks, but in this case, they're charging $150 for the color, which is something I hope won't sell. In that they're geared for the one color, it may cost them more to create the black, which is a smaller amount, so may cost more to manufacture. It also costs them to keep track of them in distribution and also separate parts and part numbers, SKUs all separate. But to the end user, we really don't see that extra cost and it's high to have the color change, so for my part, I wouldn't waste the money on the color and I'm a big one for wasting money ordinarily.
