And yes, I would *love* it if I could keep the price points the same. Unfortunately, if I'm rigid about keeping the $1,000 price point, there'd be no Mac laptop included, which would mean matching the Dell against...nothing. That would be kind of awkward for my site, ya know?

For the record, I've done the same thing in the past--I *try* keeping the price points to the more psychologically logical "even" amounts, but once in awhile Apple shoves the prices around to weird points. As you noted in your next post, this is always temporary; I'm 99% sure that they'll knock the entry-leve price back down to $999 in another few months, as well as dropping that rediculous $200 for the black casing (my guess is that they'll simply make the $1,299 model available in either color). Assuming they do this, I'll tweak the charts accordingly once again at that point.
