thanks hookrider, my mother's family were all Seattle people .. again, we visited from Vancouver where i grew up, usually a couple of times a year .. Super Bowl in Seattle was a virtual certainty .. lol .. and ping-pong! .. some of that side of the family are still in Seattle .. have a sister in Rhode Island, a nephew in Texas and a niece in Arizona now .. she lived and loved in California before .. could go on, as yup many friends and relatives across the USA ..
yes, i have lived in the USA, only on visits, many times .. traveled NY to Vancouver in a greyhound bus, not easy .. lol ..
it could be noted, too, that in many ways Australia is a 'client state' of the USA .. we are key in your spy and communications network, and as Stephanie mentioned we are with you in about all of your wars .. certainly what happens in the USA is important to Australia as it is to the rest of the world .. my particular interest now is because of family and friends .. and yes because what happens in your country is very important to Australia .. gawd, there is almost as much USA in some tv news here as there is homegrown ..
to bulldzer, i will not post an Australian politics one in the middle of a conversation about the election of Hillary .. promise .. grin ..
yeah, thanks to all
It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
