I seem to remember being told that the reason only two companies were given the simulators was because we needed an engineer to be with each testing group. We could not afford the extra manpower. That may still be the reason for the delays in additional test units (whether they be computer simulations or FPGAs) being distributed to those interested. So, if this is the case the actual cost of the unit or any problems producing them may not be the reason for the delay in getting them out to potential customers for evaluation.

Anyone else recall this?
