DDR won't do squat with rspt what's needed.

AMD's problem is not that Intel "finally" produced a competitive part, but that they've changed their entire approach in taking out all the stops. As I said before, "The Giant is awake". Intel's problem is that it needs to reestablish itself to the preemminent position it had.

Intel may find it a bit harder on a somewhat more level playfield.
Intel will still lose server share tho, the server space today amounts to much more than a CPU with a lot of cache.
