It was thought (or hoped) that Esposito's joining the Board was a first step, and he was being groomed to take over as CEO. Very likely it was this assumption that fueled the sharp increase in share price last year.

Interesting observation.

If you believe, as your post states, that replacing Ed with Esposito, or anyone else for that matter---with expertise in the medical field, would have a positive influence on the share price (company's valuation), why are you so insistent on Ed remaining in power ?
