Regarding therapy monitoring, patients presenting increased levels of CTC during the treatment demonstrated lower OS and PFS rates. All these data supported the value of CTC as a prognostic biomarker and as a surrogate indicator of chemotherapy effectiveness in advanced NSCLC patients...

if you have been following all the prior posts, CTC's and MDSC's are both the problem and which one will win out as a biomarker in NSCLC or will it be a combination? In the meantime, the publications continue to grow from global researchers all over, all looking in the right direction and concluding that higher level of MDSC's is bad ...

Lets go DMC of SunRise.... time to start measuring blood but maybe we need the FDA to come forth with blood based biomarkers of MDSC ... or CTC ... or both... and the last thing the FDA can do is remain silent on the most deadliest killer of all: NSCLC

Damn, I wonder which drug and platform has quite a statistically significant affect on MDSC's ?? >> Bavituximab / PS Targeting is the answer.

l-Arginine Depletion Blunts Antitumor T-cell Responses by Inducing Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells

Moreover, we found that peg-Arg I enhanced the growth of tumors in mice in a manner that correlated with higher MDSC numbers. Taken together, our results highlight the risks of the l-Arg–depleting therapy for cancer treatment and suggest a need for cotargeting MDSC in such therapeutic settings.
