Awful quiet around here!!! I know it's only because Spring has sprung and most are busy doing the spring-cleaning chores. I know I am. Done been up to my hips in creek water, cleaning branches and leaves from a stream that rolls thru the woods. The water is the highest it has ever been, in the 30+ years I've been out here. It is unusual for water tables to rise, especially in high growth rural areas. Usually, they fall. It comes to my mind the only reason this could possibly be, is due to a global warming of the polar ice caps.
The very observant are who notices these things, but since they are few, the masses brush them off and laugh at them as lunatics. When it finally becomes obvious to the masses, naturally, it is too late.
There is not a more visible, easily solvable, profitable, contributor to ozone gases than landfills. For the little it would take for our lawmakers to mandate a bill to eliminate LFG flaring, no where could their minimal time have such a considerable impact!
Pray that our lawmakers be blessed someday with, if in nothing else, the common sense to see this and act upon it.
