I question the math/wisdom of monthly payouts too. Hard to argue with the 50-year-tested Buffett dividend method: $230,000 per share BRK pays no dividends and Warren doesn't give a damn whether idiot old geezers buy HIS stock or like HIS dividend policy.

I figure that earnings not paid out to shareholders are tax efficiently compounded for growth within the corporation. That's worked wonderfully for BRK shareholders.

If monthly payouts are better, why not weekly, or even daily? Modern tech would allow that.

Porgie, are you aware of any industrial stocks that pay monthly? Maybe I'll stand up at the next 3M SH meeting and ask for weekly dividends. 3M's been a lot more reliable money maker than any mREIT over the decades.
